  1. The hymn in Greek is an Orphic version useful for a life prepared bodiless psyche who is about to be reincarnated. This hymn is a very ancient one, perhaps written around 9000 BC.
In the hymn the psyche says to the guards of the lake of Remembrance that it is a child of the Earth and of the Starry Sky (not just dust in dust) and therefore they should allow it to drink of the lake's water for it is very thirsty.
More than learning and practicing Greek philosophy the initiate also utilizes hymns to come into contact with the benevolent spirits of a far more refined world than ours. This Orphic hymn has to be fully understood, learned by heart in its original language, and to be correctly repeated daily in order to have an effect on you. This way you connect your psyche with your mind, and through your MEMORY you move into those planes of Arete where from you may approach holy and powerful entities that will reinforce and guide you in your tour-deforce to achieve immortality.
The English lyrics of the song isn't just beautiful. It's powerful and truthful.
As for the music, perhaps I am too old and too educated in renaissance and classic music to be thrilled by it. I suppose it is a matter of taste. In other words this piece of music may not be my cup of tea, but it attracts my attention. I am sure it moves the young Greeks worldwide, that is all the psyches who have their minds on the Starry Sky and their feet firmly on the mother Earth.
    Keep up the good work.
    Thanks
