Zelensky, through the “coalition of the willing” Europeans, made a clever diplomatic move.
He puts forward the exact same cowardly positions he presented alone to Trump, when he was thrown out of the White House, but this time with the wrapping of 'Europe.' So that Trump cannot repeat what he did to Zelensky, namely to dismiss them all out of hand.
When Zelensky's positions are presented as supposedly a collective European position, the American government cannot easily humiliate the entire EU.
However, it can do something else. It can give the Europeans and Zelensky a taste of their own medicine. It can present common positions of the USA and Russia as an ultimatum, and if they do not accept them, it can bypass them and place the USA outside NATO. And it can form an alliance with Russia at the expense of Ukraine and the EU.
Such a diplomatic move would place Zelensky and the “coalition of the willing” where they deserve, at the position of the laggard in geopolitical developments.
Zelensky desperately wishes for a confrontation between Russia and the USA; this is his main plan for the salvation of Ukraine, regardless of whether it ends in nuclear holocaust. That is why he insists maniacally on security guarantees from the USA, without himself providing any security guarantee to Russia that NATO will not expand into Ukraine.
The best security guarantee for Europe and humanity is the withdrawal of the USA from NATO and the dissolution of NATO.
The best solution for the Ukrainian question is the diplomatic isolation of Zelensky, the dissolution of the Ukrainian state, and the partitioning of temporarily controlled Ukrainian lands by adjacent states; including those distant states willing to provide peacekeeping troops.
